Catharine Nicol (aka Monster), has been based in Hong Kong for over 11 years. A photojournalist and editor, she has worked freelance for eight of these, writing and shooting mostly travel articles, interviews and anything about wellbeing. Travelling through countries such as China, Mongolia, Japan, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Taiwan, Singapore, Philippines, Mayanmar, Malaysia, as well as India, Sri Lanka and the Maldives, and also Oman, Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Australia, New Zealand and Tasmania, she has recorded her many adventures in numerous publications.

Between periods of freelancing she worked first for Allan Zeman's LanKwaiFong.com website, compiling content made up of restaurant reviews, personality interviews and regular event reviews and photography.

Most recently she has just completed four years as Editor-in-chief of AsiaSpa magazine. Running everything editorial, she planned the yearly calendar, expanded the structure of the publication bringing in numerous new sections, wrote and commissioned articles, edited, budgeted, admin-ed and loved the magazine. She was also lucky enough to be welcomed into the spa and wellness industry and travelled Asia and beyond testing and visiting spas, attending conferences, interviewing industry personalities, keeping up to date with trends and news, and learning, learning, learning.

She has recently moved to the position of editor-at-large, returning to her freelancing ways, specifically for BluIncMedia publications but also others within the region too.
